Bowel Obstruction How Long Can Youlive With This

digression. Walk in Egypt.

This Egypt is a week in turbulence. This news made me want to go see what the shelves Cartonnages Romantics were devoted to this country. The result is thin: A little history, some travel books, the Napoleonic era. If the nineteenth century hundreds of titles have appeared on this country, few books have covered buckram summers and beaten with chains gold between 1840 and 1865.

start with the famous poem of Bartholomew and Mery: Napoleon in Egypt, Waterloo and the son of man, edited by Ernest Bourdin in Paris (1842), illustrated by Horace Vernet and Bellangé, an In-8 ° 330 pages with 17 engraved plates and numerous vignettes. The iron-specific duplex consists of a small central medallion which shows the Emperor bowing his troops before the pyramids, vine-medallion surrounded by arabesques. On the back, an N in the imperial crown of laurels in a circle with the Legion of Honor. On the back, overlooking an allegory of flags, Aboukir and Cairo, masks, a bust of the ancient Egyptian wearing. Both irons are generic, they are found, inter alia, on the back and back of the History of the Emperor Napoleon by Laurent de l'Ardèche an In-8 ° of 456 pages, edited by Paulin and Knight in 1849.

we dwell on the work of Edouard Gouin, briefly citing Carteret: Egypt in the nineteenth century. Military and political history, anecdotal and picturesque Mehemet Ali, Ibrahim Pasha, Suleiman Pasha (Colonel Saps), illustrated by 20 engravings painted with watercolors from the original MJ-A.Beaucé, edited by Paul at Boizard Paris an 1847, an In-8 ° 470 pages. The specific iron golden ornaments and recto verso is signed by Liebherr. A kind of trophy with a central column flanked by flags and where we distinguish left a unicorn-sheep (?) and right the emperor wearing a curious head covers, all with sword, saddle and stirrups. On the back, also an iron original and specific: a scribe seated, a Mameluke standing. To read the story, we see that the struggles were not lacking and that Ibrahim Pasha was able to win and lead the country with a firm hand. I think a cardboard unusual.

Then travel stories, starting with one dedicated entirely to Egypt: The work of Eugene Poitou, A Winter in Egypt, which had several editions in Mame, Tours. Our copy is an In-8 ° 468 pages with 32 woodcuts inset, dated 1860. Iron generic adorning the front is No. 20, it is not signed but in the style of Haarhaus, iron is a common generic back, the back is formed by plumes.
Alexandria
A chapter in the book by Louis Enault, The Mediterranean, its islands and its edges, a large in-8 ° 538 pages, illustrated by Rouargue of 22 steel engravings including 4 ht colored costumes, published in 1863 in Paris by Morizot. Iron the front is very decorative: the center, a pasha elongated smokes his hookah in the side chapels surrounded by a Janissary and a notable Greek. This iron is a generic unsigned. We find, exactly, under close on Lavallee (Theophilus), history of the Ottoman Empire, a large in-8 appeared in 1855, Garnier and just recently acquired for the tidy sum of 1900 Euros + shipping (Catalog No. 120, Artcurial, Toulouse, December 8, 2010). The back iron is a generic the back of a semi generic as its upper part is identical to a carton of Swiss Family Robinson (Paris, Garnier, nd). A beautiful mosaic boards.

Another book with a title almost similar, by C. Pelle, The islands and shores of the Mediterranean, in two volumes in-4, published simultaneously in London and Paris by Fisher and illustrated with 65 plates outside text engraved on steel. Iron specific editor adorns front and back. A rectangular frame with floral cornucopias framing a flower vase.

Finally to finish the journey of JD Bois-Robert, Nile and Danube, a tourist souvenir, an In-8 ° 351 pages, published in Paris in A. Courcier., Illustrated with 12 plates in two colors and text that includes an important chapter on Egypt. We have already shown that iron in a previous post. See our blog of 27 December 2010. On the front, in a generic framework flowers and palm trees found on several articles, a center also known as a generic edition of Around the World. A generic face, like a barnacle clinging Robinson to his rock back and also generic since both include, among others, Travels in gold countries. These boards got a rare auction of more than 800 euros at auction, 4 years ago.

To finish this overview on this fascinating country I have visited and liked, I added a wink and conclusion of this post, one of the cardboard Thousand and One Nights. What will rub Aladdin's lamp Egypt news?

(Nha Trang, Vietnam) An all- inclusive at $ 45 per day for a family of four. Unbelievable? Yet it exists. Attention must traverse half the globe to get there (and you pay your tickets!). But once there, you'll be almost alone on the white sand beach, watching fishermen in their boats and rustic to listen to the waves of the South China Sea.
À Paradise Resort, les visiteurs logent dans des... (Photo: Isabelle Ducas, collaboration spéciale) is a paradise that Paradise Resort, a mini-resort in southern Vietnam, Doc Let Beach. This jewel is nestled in thirty miles from the glitzy Nha Trang, which attracts thousands of tourists at its hotels more floors, its crowded beaches and noisy streets.
At Paradise Resort, guests staying in rustic huts scattered in a flower garden hidden under coconut trees. Some units are air conditioned, but most are cooled by breezes, which comes from below the roofs of palm leaves. A good night's sleep requires the use of screens installed around beds. The place can accommodate about thirty people. Fog family had a good laugh upon hearing the owner, Dear Vladimir, direct children eat all their vegetables to be healthy. Colorful character of Croatian origin, Mr. Dear, 83, has lived in France and speaks fluent French and he watches over her guests like a father to his children. He willingly takes care of booking hotels, taxis and train tickets for visitors. The staff of the establishment, by cons, speaks neither French nor English.
Calm
There is no GO will make you do aerobics on the beach or watercraft. Good for those seeking calm. Aside from reading in a hammock, plunge into the waves and make sand castles, you can borrow one kayaks or one of the establishment of bodyboards.
No souvenir shops no longer around, not even the small fishing village, which is reached after 10 minutes of walking on the beach. In the morning there is a market of fruits and vegetables. We can do some shopping in the small "convenience" or attend the prayer in the Buddhist temple. But as there is here no bank with ATM, you must have provided sufficient liquidity for the entire time we retain this enchanting place. can also spend time watching the fishermen go about their business: to unload the fish, repair nets, paint the boats. Their boats are moored in the bay. To reach them, they use small boats with curious round, made of woven bamboo. Fishing boats, painted blue, to wear their bow eye whose shape varies from one region to another country. That evening, we can distinguish them off they shine a powerful spotlight on the sea for fishing. What to do after a busy day and relax? Why not a massage? A masseuse spent all day at Paradise Resort to offer his services for $ 10 an hour. After that final touch of relaxation, you just have to sleep lulled by the waves. http://www.cyberpresse.ca/voyage/destinations/asie/vietnam/201101/18/01-4361047-vietnam-le-paradis-avant-la-fin-de-vos-jours . php

Golden West Dental Insurance

romantic. Metamorphoses du Jour. Cardboard

Cartonnages Romantics. Grandville. Metamorphoses du Jour .

Hello,

It is unnecessary that the multiplicity and confusion of iron gilt buckram or grief for asking questions.
Chance that I have before me two copies of the same work of the Romantic period, the reissue in 1836 at Aubert's Metamorphoses du Jour, the famous book originally appeared in Grandville Bulla in 1829. This

as described by the biographers of volumes In-4 ° oblong each containing the 71 lithographic plates, a watercolor of time, the other black, paper covers illustrated publisher.

But both lithographed covers are different.

One, the black edition is entitled: Metamorphosis Day or Men in heads Beasts by JJ Grandville. * Popular Edition. In Aubert, editor, Galerie Vero-Dodat. Paris.
This title within a rectangular frame surrounded by vines and scrolls, flanked by two monkeys to mirrors and topped with a thumbnail.

The other colors in the edition bears the following title: The Metamorphosis of the Day by
Grandville * Aubert et Cie, Place de la Bourse 29.
This title within a rectangular frame surrounded by various characters with heads of animals in a setting of ancient ruins. It distinguishes the pediment, two monkeys given the Arts and Sciences on the sides two figures standing in the bottom two pairs flanking a kind of grotesque.

Two different covers on the same issue? why? or two different editions?
change of address of the publisher is a first track. When Aubert to you it moved the gallery to go Vero Dodat Place de la Bourse? Circa 1838? Before? If one reads
carefully the long record of Vicar (IV, 782) per copy in black would be 1836 and it is said that in a catalog after that date again Aubert announced the publication of this work of Grandville with hardback copies in color.

I do not have enough documents on the precise date of installation d'Aubert on the Exchange. One of my readers did he answer?

If indeed there is a period of one year or more between these two works may reasonably be considered that this is not just a reprint and that there is a little-known edition not cited by the bibliographers. While currently we described four: 1829, 1836, 1854 and 1869, we could add a fifth.

"in two measures of dates, there is a measure of stones" Talmud.

Dive in your documentation. To read you.

good weekend.

On Monday 17, I realize that my good friend Rhémus indicated by a comment I have only just read that Aubert was transported to the Exchange Place in 1841. Thank you. So actually we do have two separate editions; One in 1836 and one after 1841. Five editions in total, not four. Whenever I would tell you how by Also, I found two perfectly unknown editions of Flowers Animated Grandville, I would wake the dead in Carteret and Vicar for information.

(Luang Prabang, Laos) It's six o'clock in the morning. The indigo sky begins to fade, the mist still clings to the branches of tall trees that overlook the quiet streets of Luang Prabang in northern Laos. In the beginning, there are silhouettes of dresses draped orange advance silently in single file. Buddhist monks, heads shaved, go naked feet, accompanied by dogs frolicking at their sides. On the roadside, women kneeling on mats open their baskets round and prepare to lay a ball of sticky rice into the alms bowl of each monk worn over the shoulder. Younger are entitled to a treat: a banana.

Adventure is an adventure! Sad

Never easy transport in Asia. Even when taking a check over to public transport, ie buses of tourists. Even those are a bit haywire, you rarely know when we start, let alone when it comes ... To leave Vang Vieng, a old bus that toured the hotel picked us up at our guesthouse, 15 minutes early. Ends speed packet bags, gets in the old bus, toured the other hotels to pick up other passengers. Then arrives at the bus station, hanging around there while other passengers arrive. Then, trying to understand which bus will take you to get to Luang Prabang. The boss beckons us to climb into a minibus, but there is not enough room for four of us (it is shown that we are a family with two children ...). Two other vans arrive, you go up faster in one of them, to get a place before (Because Marianne motion sickness, I always have a bag not far, but I prefer not having to use it ...). The boss beckons to land, there are not enough people to fill two other minibuses. It descends. Then he told us to go back: a passenger was added, the three minibuses will leave. Phew!
The road winds through fields, through villages in flimsy thatched huts of wood glued to the dust of the road, where children are watching us pass. Pee stop requested by Emilia; stop on the roadside, where there is a beautiful view, but the paper Q everywhere. The driver realizes we have a tire deflates. Not too reassuring ...

It restarts. The road climbs switchbacks. Landscape magnificent valleys in all shades of green, red clay brick, caramel color and rivers, scattered here and there steep hills studded with rocky ridges. Stop a bit further, the Official Pit Stop: public toilets, small restaurant, convenience store and breathtaking views. The driver does not tell us how long you stop, but you're hungry. It was decided, with the other passengers, eating. When the driver sees us seated, he is not happy, but he does not speak English, we do not understand why.

When we hit the road, you soon understand why and the driver was upset: it stops half an hour later in a small town as ugly as everything, where there is a garage to fix our tire. It takes an hour, that's where we should eat, but you could not guess ... So we walk, even if there is not much to see. Some shops, vendors of fruit and vegetables along the road, tit-ass who inflate the tires of their bécyk. Girls are an attraction, as usual, but the Laotians are rather timid.

Finally, we come back! But we are not all ... A few more hours to be shaking. We're in Luang Prabang in late afternoon. At the bus station, they are a few tuk-tuk drivers waiting for us to stand firm we charge the highest possible price. But, hehe!, We also look at a halt. We agreed with a French travel companion to share the ride to town. They want to charge us 50,000 kip ($ 7) for the trip, but we saw snow: we know that it's not worth more than 10 000 kips. After a bit stubborn, allowed to dry and it goes on the main road, where they hailed a tuk-tuk's driver was all smiles, too happy to embark for the price we offer. But with five passengers and luggage in his little craft, one wonders if the engine can take it.

We arrive in the city of pain and misery. It was a hotel in sight, we visit the room, but it is expensive, small, and windowless. No way! Luang Prabang is a challenge for budget travelers. We are slammed, but I'm going to hunt while Marco stayed with the girls. I return after a Time: I found a large room at $ 15! You settle in, then we eat on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Mekong. What a contrast to Vang Vieng: here is classy and distinguished, tourists wear linen shirts, drink wine and stay in old colonial homes. The city is quiet, pretty flowers. We have for days to discover its charms.
